Optimizing the core leadership training to make the most of operational oversight had the biggest impact of all the initiatives we tested. Shifting our emphasis from basic staff training on the periphery to executive-level process safety modules integrated at the top was a HUGE boost in hazard prevention. Just moving our same leadership focus from general sessions to targeted program integration, we went from 2 percent incident reduction to 5 percent across the facility.
